 Georg Simon Ohm was a German physicist and mathematician known for his significant contributions to the field of electrical theory. He was born on March 16, 1789, in Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany, into a family of craftsmen. Ohm initially received his education at home from his father, who was a master locksmith and also taught mathematics. Later, he attended the University of Erlangen, where he studied mathematics, physics, and chemistry. After completing his studies, Ohm worked as a private tutor to support himself financially.
